Solar solutions on public buildings or in public spaces can offer the best investment because they not only accomplish the task at hand, but they produce results for years to come. These solar solutions, including solar lighting system, perform with no associated energy costs, once the product investment is paid off by the initial off-set energy production. Often, as solar equipment costs decline, new business models are developed so government agencies can define more sites with a high potential for solar development that fits with their energy goals and requirements. Sites could be, schools, parking garages/canopies, fire and police stations, wastewater treatment plants, administrative building rooftops, and more. If the math pencils out, these spaces can ultimately turn into revenue generators.
