Cleaning dust filters and removing undergrowth dust at the vents that can impede airflow, is something to monitor over time. Simple regular cleaning can help an inverter perform at optimum efficiency to avoid any level of overheating. Overheating results in an unnecessary waste of energy. Every Watt counts, so it pays to be mindful.
What to do? The Any-Grid PSW-H comes with 2 dust filters (one on each side) to help with equipment performance. These are easily accessible by removing a single screw. No dust filter replacement is necessary, simply:
- Remove the dust filter from the unit
- Rinse the dust filter with tap water
- Dry with (paper) towel in a clean environment
- Re-install the dust filter once it is completely dry
How often? Phocos suggests in low dust environments wash and replace the dust filter every 6 months. In heavy dust environments consider potentially doing maintenance once a month.
