The state of charge (SOC) indicator on the Any-Grid PSW-H is merely dependent on the voltage and current for Gel/AGM and Flooded battery modes. Because of this, the SOC may not be accurate due to the chemistry or high internal resistance properties of the battery. If a Pylontech or another supported lithium battery is used, make sure to enable that battery type so that the inverter reads the SOC from the battery. This tends to generate a more accurate SOC calculation since the onboard battery management system provides more data. An inaccurate SOC calculation or battery indicator reading does not have any negative effect on the battery profile charging or discharging, as those processes use the battery voltage and time as parameters, not the SOC. The battery will still be properly charged assuming all the relevant settings in the Any-Grid PSW-H are properly set. The SOC calculation has nothing to do with the Any-Grid PSW-H’s battery charging algorithm.
